What Faciey is

Faciey lets you publish a profile that can be found by your face, and lets you search for other people who have chosen to be findable the same way.

It only ever matches against people who switched discoverability on themselves. It is not a tool for identifying people who have not opted in, and it cannot do that.

Who can use it

You must be 16 or over. You must give us accurate information, and you must be the person in the face you register. One face belongs to one account.

You are responsible for what happens under your account, including keeping your sign-in details to yourself.

What you may not do

• Register a face that is not yours, or attempt to impersonate somebody else.
• Use Faciey to harass, stalk, intimidate or track a person.
• Use a match to contact somebody who has asked you not to.
• Scrape, resell or redistribute profiles, images or match results.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer embeddings, or use the service to build a competing face index.
• Upload sexual or explicit imagery, or nudity.
• Upload anything illegal, or anything depicting a child.

Breaking these rules ends your access, and we may report serious cases to the authorities.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you upload. You give us the permission we need to store it, process it and show it to the people you chose to show it to, for as long as you keep it on Faciey.

That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.

Scans and matches

A match is a statistical judgement, reported with a confidence score. It is not proof of identity, and you should not treat it as such.

We do not guarantee that a scan finds anyone, or that the person it finds is who you were looking for.

Paid plans

Some features require a subscription. Subscriptions bought through the App Store are billed by Apple, renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, and are managed in your Apple account settings.

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under their terms, not by us.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from inside the app. We can suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, that puts other people at risk, or that we are required to remove.

No warranty, and what we are liable for

Faciey is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that matching will be accurate.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability we are not permitted to limit.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Faciey after that means you accept the new terms.
