Faciey is a face-recognition app. People add their own face and the links they publish; anyone who sees them can scan the face and reach all of it. Nobody is in it who did not put themselves there.

Every face in the picture is detected and boxed separately, so a crowd is not one blurred guess.

Crop to a single person when the shot is busy — a tighter crop is the difference between a miss and a match.

What it will not do
It cannot find someone who never opted in.
Faciey matches against people who switched discoverability on themselves. It does not scrape social networks, and a face that is not on Faciey comes back as no result — which is the honest answer, not a failure.

How do I find someone from a photo?
Open Faciey, point the camera at them or pick a photo from your gallery, and the app detects every face in the shot and matches it against people who chose to be findable. Results come back in about two seconds with the profiles behind each face.
Does it work on a screenshot?
Yes. A screenshot of a story, a reel or a group chat works as well as an original photo, as long as the face is large enough to read. Crop to the person you mean if there are several.
Can I scan a photo with more than one person in it?
Yes. Each face becomes its own result card, with matched people shown first. You can also open the photo map to see which name belongs to which face.
Do I need the app to scan a photo?
No. faciey.com/scan runs the same match in a browser, free and without an account. The app adds the camera, video scanning and live scanning.
What happens to the photo I upload?
The photo is used for the scan and is not kept. The faceprint from a web scan is held for an hour so the result page keeps working, then deleted.
