Opt-in only
Every face in the database was added by the person it belongs to. Nothing is scraped from social networks.
Safety and privacy
Nobody is in here who did not put themselves in.
Face recognition earns its reputation from products built to identify strangers. This one cannot: it only ever matches people who added their own face and switched discoverability on — and they can switch it off again in a tap.
- Opt-in only
- No scraping, ever
- Deletable for good
New here?
Faciey is a face-recognition app. People add their own face and the links they publish; anyone who sees them can scan the face and reach all of it. Nobody is in it who did not put themselves there.
How it works
The four rules
What the product will not do
These are not policies we promise to follow. They are the shape of the system — there is no setting, plan or request that changes them.
Hiding beats paying
Anyone can hide from a single scan or all of them, and no subscription sees past it.
How hiding worksBeing found is never silent
If your face matches a scan, you are told — with how close the match was and when.
Delete means delete
One tap removes your faceprint permanently. No archive, no grace period, no copy kept.
Delete my dataWhat we hold
What a faceprint actually is
Faciey does not keep your photographs and compare pictures. A face is converted into a faceprint — a list of numbers describing the geometry of that face — and it is those numbers that are compared. A faceprint cannot be turned back into a photograph of you.
When someone runs a scan on the web, the photo they upload is used for the scan and not kept. The faceprint from that scan is held for one hour so their result page keeps working, and is then deleted. When you add your own face to your profile, that faceprint stays until you delete it — which you can do at any time, permanently.
Who can see what
- Photos you upload are private to you, along with the matches they return
- Your profile shows your name, photo and the links you chose to publish — nothing more
- A person who scans you sees only what your profile publishes
- Nobody — at any plan level — sees you if you have switched discoverability off
What we never do
- Sell, share or provide your data to any third party
- Add a face from a social network, a public dataset or anywhere but a sign-up
- Return a person who has not chosen to be findable
- Keep a faceprint after it has been deleted
If it is your face
Four switches, all yours.
- Verification. Proves the face is yours, and stops anyone else claiming it.
- Discoverability. Off by default. While it is off, your face matches nothing at all.
- Hiding. Vanish from one scan or from everything, effective immediately.
- Deletion. Remove the faceprint permanently, with your links still working if you want them to.
Privacy, answered
Can anyone see photos I upload to Faciey?
No. Your uploads are private by default. Only you can see the photos you upload and the matches they return.
What happens when someone searches for my face on Faciey?
If you're verified, you'll be notified when someone finds you. You control whether your profile, social handles, and other info are visible.
Can I remove my face from Faciey?
Yes. You can delete any uploaded photos at any time. Deleting your account permanently removes all your data.
Is my data shared with third parties?
Never. Faciey does not sell, share, or provide your data to any third party.
What if someone uploads my photo without my consent?
You can verify your identity. Once verified, you control your profile and can report misuse. Our moderation team reviews all reports within 24 hours.
Control is the product, not a setting.
Being findable is worth something precisely because it is a choice you make and can take back.
