Child Safety Standards
Faciey has zero tolerance for any content or behaviour that exploits or endangers children. These are our published standards against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE).
Zero tolerance for CSAE
Faciey has a strict zero-tolerance policy against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). Any content, account, or behaviour that sexualises, exploits, or endangers minors is immediately removed and reported to the relevant authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).
Age restrictions
Faciey is for people aged 16 and above. A face is biometric data, and 16 is the age at which a person can consent to a service like this in their own right across most of Europe. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 16 we suspend it and delete the face data and everything else held against it.
Reporting mechanisms
Every profile and piece of content on Faciey can be reported by any user. Reports are reviewed promptly. Content or accounts that violate our child safety standards are removed immediately, and where required by law, reported to law enforcement and NCMEC via the CyberTipline.
Content moderation
Uploaded media and profiles are reviewed by our team when they are reported, and we act on the report before anything else in the queue. We do not run an automated classifier over uploads today. Any child sexual abuse material we find is removed immediately and reported without exception, and we will say so here when automated screening is added.
