Faciey is a face-recognition app. People add their own face and the links they publish; anyone who sees them can scan the face and reach all of it. Nobody is in it who did not put themselves there.
How it works
Rescan
A dead end today is a match next month.
The person you scanned in March may have joined since. One tap re-runs the entire session against everyone who has arrived — so old sessions get more valuable as the network grows, not less.
Run it again, later
No re-uploading and no re-cropping. The same faces, matched against a bigger network.
Named like the room
“Lagos Tech Fest”, not “Scan 14”. Six months on, the name is the only thing that finds it.
Shared sessions
You were both in that room.
See every scan you and someone else both appear in. It is proof you actually met, which turns an awkward “do you remember me” into a specific one.
- The date and the event. What you were both at, not just that you crossed paths.
- How many times. Once is a coincidence; nine scans together is a working relationship.
- A reason to message. Something concrete to open with, which is most of the battle.

What is a session in Faciey?
A saved scan. Every photo, video or live scan becomes a session holding the faces it found — matched and unmatched — with the date and what you scanned. You can name it and come back to it any time.
What does rescanning do?
It runs the same session again against everyone who has joined Faciey since. Faces that came back unmatched the first time can match now, without you re-uploading anything.
What are shared sessions?
The scans you and another person both appear in. It is how you can tell you have actually met someone, and how many times, rather than guessing.
Do sessions expire?
No. A session you ran months ago is still there, and rescanning makes it more useful over time rather than less.
Every session is a room you were in.
Add your own face and those rooms work in both directions — the people you met can find you too.
